PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZERS HOST 2nd ANNUAL

CLUTTER DROP-OFF & RECYCLING EVENT

DRAPER, UTAH March 9, 2010. People today have more space, more stuff, and less time than ever before. With the luxury of “more” can also come more clutter and more disorganization, making the need for decluttering and spring cleaning greater than ever before. The Utah chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers® (NAPO®) is hosting a free event to help the public get rid of their clutter in a “drive-by, drop-off” manner in the east parking lot of IKEA from noon until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 20th.  “Last year we collected and disposed of over 9500 pounds of clutter,” says event coordinator Deann Bolinder, “this year we’re hoping to collect even more!”

How to Prepare for the Event: “Identify items you haven’t used or needed during the past year” suggests professional organizer Laurie Reeve and President of the National Association of Professional Organizers in Utah (NAPO-SL CIF), “these items are good candidates for bringing to our drive-by, drop-off event.”

Laurie advises, “If you fear getting rid of something you might need later, ask yourself the following questions: 1. Have I used or needed this during the past year? 2. Can I identify a specific time I will use or need this again? 3. Is this something I really love or value? 4. Is this something I can easily obtain again? 5. What is the worst thing that could happen if I got rid of this item?  Answering these questions can help assist you in determining which belongings are truly necessary verses those that are simply lying around as clutter.”

Event Sponsors: The following vendors have agreed to offer their services FREE to the public during the event. Please SEPARATE YOUR ITEMS into the following vendor groupings for easier “drive-by, drop-off” functionality:
